Expeditionary Cruises HX has changed its voyages to all-inclusive journeys, making it easier for you to travel the world.
The cruise line (formerly known as Hurtigruten Expeditions) will begin its journey to Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands in October and will offer everything from daily excursions and activities to tips, beverages such as wine, beer, and cocktails. Shared with tourism + leisure. Then in November, HX will expand its all-inclusive service to all of its flights worldwide.
“We want our guests to be fully receptive to being curious travelers when they are with us. By keeping things as simple as possible, they can focus on exploring remote parts of the world and learning from our team of experts,” said Alex Delamere-White, HX’s Chief Commercial Officer, in a statement shared with T+L. “We believe adventure should be all-encompassing, which is why our daily expeditions, conversations, and access to the Science Centre come at no extra cost, as well as delicious food and drink. ”
Among other perks, guests have access to Wi-Fi, professional photos, and access to the sauna, hot tub, and gym on board at no additional cost.
Once launched, all-inclusive service will become standard on all HX cruises.
Delamill White said the change was made because of “a direct response to feedback from guests and partners”.
In general, HX voyages are led by expeditions and have access to the onboard scientists to gain a unique perspective on the destinations they visit. The company flies all over the world, from Alaska and Antarctica to Greenland, the British Isles, Norway and more.
In addition to its expeditionary itineraries, Hurtigruten is also known for the Norwegian Coastal Express route, which the company has been operating since 1893. Last year, the cruise line relaunched the Svalbard Express service, connecting Bergen, Norway to Svalbard on a renovated Elfjord ship in the Arctic high-altitude archipelago.
